WMS - Quality Control and Standards
Quality Control in Production
Quality is crucial in process industries. Legislation mandates strict regulations that require clearly defined procedures to ensure your customers are assured of the exclusion of defective products. Control points, critical points, and non-conformity records in our WMS can easily integrate into any system of standards, safety, and quality such as HACCP, FSSC 22000, IFS, BRC, HACCP, ISO 22000, ISO 9001, and others.
Upon arrival, raw materials are sampled, inspected, and assigned unique serial numbers. The results of these checks are incorporated into the WMS quality control module. Smartbit WMS provides comprehensive real-time insights into quality statuses, ensures record-keeping of all non-conformities, and supports all defined procedures and actions in case of any process or product non-conformity.
The WMS quality control module automatically generates the status of received raw materials upon receipt, and the quality control department provides insight into the reception with all parameters of incoming goods, generates a sampling order, and directs goods to the sampling location. After quality control, goods are allocated to warehouse zones designated for conditional or non-conditional products.
Quality Control in Distribution and Service Logistics
The fact that a service logistics provider is not the owner of the goods necessitates greater attention in all processes, and their responsibility is equal to both the legislator and the owner of the goods to whom the service is provided. Often in the chain, the carrier of goods as a third party whose services must be checked in the process of movement of goods upon receipt and delivery. Control involves not only quantity checks but also a range of qualitative checks that guarantee the quality of the provider's service and ultimately customer satisfaction. In such scenarios, WMS provides you with the ability to strictly control goods upon receipt and define procedures for creating records, taking photographs, whether it's inaccurate quantities, permutations, damaged or open packages, or temperatures of vehicles or goods during dispatch or pickup.
Legal procedures require sampling of imported goods, imposing the need for a system solution and management of the status of goods and paperwork in public or private customs warehouses. WMS provides complete insight into the traceability of goods from the perspective of customs regulations and tracking of warehouse/customs numbers, as well as visible labeling of goods in mixed warehouses.

"Standards in the supply chain save time and money by reducing paperwork and administration. Mostly invisible, yet incredibly important, GS1 standards ensure processes within the world's largest industries run smoothly."
GS1
GS1 is a globally accepted standard for barcode labeling in supply chain processes. In addition to barcode standards, GS1 implements and enforces other standards.
Our WMS solution fully supports GS1 standards for barcode reading and generation. By scanning GS1 barcodes, all necessary information on goods receipt is read, reducing errors and increasing reception speed.
We encourage all manufacturers to label their products according to GS1 standards, ensuring the recognition of their products and facilitating the delivery processes of their goods to distributors and retail chains.
Whether it's quantities, weights, use-by dates, production dates, serial numbers, lots, or other data important for goods delivery, all this data is an integral part of GS1 standards and can be part of barcodes on your products, transport packages, and pallets.
If you need assistance implementing GS1 standards, please contact us; we will be happy to assist you with implementation.
